REMOTE/HYBRID OPPURTIUNITES ARE AVAILABLE AFTER 6 MONTHS OF EMPLYMENT.
As an Order Entry Technician, you will be responsible for entering prescriptions into the Specialty Rx Framework/Frameworks ECM pharmacy system with both speed and accuracy. You will also communicate with customers on the telephone and will need to respond quickly and courteously to their needs.
Qualifications:

Must be a registered Pharmacy Technician in Applicable State

High School graduate or equivalent required.

Effective communication both verbally and in writing. Must have a high degree of customer service focus and problem-solving ability.

Comprehensive computer knowledge and skills required.

Strong organizational, customer service, and time management skills, ability to problem solve and prioritize.

Math skills with an emphasis on calculations as well as analytical skills required. Basic medical records understanding desired.

Ability to adapt well to shifting priorities, emergency demands, and customer service issues.

Under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist and as permitted by State law, Order Entry Technicians should be capable of the following:

Responsible for the understanding and working knowledge of the pharmacy computer systems, including, but not limited to Framework, Frameworks ECM.

Enter orders to include, but not limited to, new orders, refills, DC’s, STAT orders, controlled substance orders, admissions, discharges, room changes, OSS (emergency kit) billing/processing, leave of absence requests, and clarifications as permitted by the regulatory scope of technician practice.

Assist with order triage in Frameworks ECM.

Appropriately manage workflow and adjust as needed based on priority and daily assignments.

As permitted by regulation, and under the supervision of the pharmacist, assist with follow-up, troubleshooting, problem solving, and clarifications.

Assists with answering incoming calls including, but not limited to, assisting with customer questions/requests, directing customers to appropriate staff, and assisting facility staff with ordering (receiving orders as permitted by regulation i.e., refill requests, etc.).

Works in collaboration with the Order Entry leadership to meet department goals and objectives.

Answer the telephone to respond to customer needs and requests.
