General Management and oversight of the Accounting Department including bookkeeping Office bookeeper, Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Specialist.
Responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the organization, including:

Development and implementation of proper accounting procedures and policies

Funding oversight and reporting

Organizational and Departmental Budgets

Daily, weekly, monthly and annual compilation and analysis of financial statements

Financial Reporting to Board of Directors and Upper Management

Reconcile and manage loans, lines of credit and bank accounts.

Complete monthly and annual compilation and analysis of financial statements

Finanancial Reporting to Board of Directors and Upper Management

Reconcile and manage loans, lines of credit and bank accounts

Complete month and year-end processes

Recording and depreciation of assets

Montior and track debt activity

Coordinate annual audits

Coordinate and complete internal audits

Set and help organization achieve financial objectives

Assign projects and staff to ensure compliance and organization-wide accuracy

Meet with Department Managers to ensure adherence to individual budgets and revise when appropriate

Create and maintain grant budgets for applications and existing grant funding

Establish and maintain files and records of transactions
-
Provide financial recommendations for policy and procedure with GAAP guidelines

Facilitate treasury management services

Build and maintain banking relations

Prepare annual IRS wage reporting forms

Facilitate creation and maintenance of company endowment

Participate in Board of Directors Financial Committee and committee meetings

Train and evaluate new and existing accounting staff
Job Requirements and Skills
-
BS degree in Accounting or Finance or 7+years related experience
-
10+years proven accounting management or accounting supervisory experience

Advanced computer skills in MS Office, QuickBooks and databases
-
Ability to manipulate large amounts of data across multiple accounts
-
High attention to detail
-
Extensive knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills
