DeepOcean has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager – Accounting & Admin to join our team on a full-time basis located in Houston, TX.
The Finance Manager – Accounting & Admin will form a part of the Regional Finance team and take responsibility for the following:
Key Areas of Responsibility
Month-end closing and balance sheet reconciliation.
Financial Reporting - Monthly Flash, Reforecasting, Month end and Year end reporting.
Cash flow forecast and cash balance reporting.
Assisting with the insurance renewal process.
Management of the YE audit process (interim and final).
Taxes – liaising with the tax firm to ensure compliance.
AP/AR Management
Other duties as required to support Finance and/or Operations.
Key Tasks
The use of standard, appropriate templates for financial, performance and customer reporting
Participate in internal and relevant external/client project meetings as required
the production and input of figures and analyses to the “Project Managers Project Review meeting - with focus on the presentation of a clear and concise overview
the provision of the monthly financial input and variance analysis for consolidation into the Monthly Finance Report
Production of audit reports and other audit information as required by internal & external audit teams
Preparation of input to the Annual Budget Process as appropriate
Preparation of Close Out Documentation both internally and externally relevant to the Project Controls function.
Preparation of monthly STCFF
Month-end closing and balance sheet reconciliation.
Ad hoc tasks as requested.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s in finance or equivalent
CPA License would be considered a plus
Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting/financial reporting areas
Management experience – ability to effectively organize and supervise
Ability to develop and establish financial procedures
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, meet deadlines and be able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
