The Role of Business Developement Representative, Sales and Marketing
As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will play a critical role in expanding our client base and driving revenue growth by targeting nationwide companies with revenues in excess of $100M. You will leverage your strong communication and relationship-building skills to identify new business opportunities, qualify leads, and develop customized ITAD solutions for potential clients.
Responsibilities of Business Developement Representative, Sales and Marketing:
- Utilize LinkedIn, cold calling methods and email campaigns to prospect to potential clients with a focus on industries with high IT asset turnover (e.g., healthcare, finance, energy).
- May attend trade shows, network with business contacts, and use various social media platforms to find potential customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including IT managers, asset managers, procurement officers, and C-suite executives.
- Conduct in-depth needs assessments to understand client requirements and pain points related to IT asset disposition.
- Develop and present compelling proposals that showcase the value proposition of our ITAD services, emphasizing data security, environmental responsibility, and cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve assigned sales targets.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and competitor offerings to effectively position our ITAD solutions.
- Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure a seamless client experience.
Qualifications of Business Developement Representative, Sales and Marketing:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and achieving revenue growth.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients at all levels.
- Highly motivated, self-directed, and results-oriented with a hunter mentality.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong understanding of the IT asset disposition industry (a plus).
- Experience with utilizing LinkedIn, Sales Navigator and LemList to identify and market services to prospects (a plus).
