Position Overview
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for supporting the expansion of DFH’s customer base and new business revenue. The BDR role also helps enable DFH to improve the territory coverage productivity and efficiency of our U.S. Sales Team.
The BDR’s knowledge of DFH nutritional supplements and solutions will be utilized to effectively communicate our purpose and value to targeted “potential or existing customers”.

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:
As a Business Development Representative, you will:

Demonstrate a solid understanding of company products and services as well as industry competitors.

Exhibit a deep understanding of your target audience and how to effectively expand reach and generate qualified leads.

Leverage a variety of available prospecting activities to engage potential/existing customers (such as researching, generating leads, cold calling, networking, social selling).

Qualify leads from marketing/promotional campaigns as sales opportunities.
-
Present our company and value proposition to potential customers.

Determine and confirm the potential customer’s interest in nutritional supplement sales.

Identify the specific needs and challenges of the potential/existing customers and share with the assigned FMC.

Schedule discovery sessions for the potential/existing customer to meet with their local DFH Functional Medicine Consultant (FMC).

Build and maintain relationships with targeted customers.
-
Educate customers on how DFH products and services can benefit their practice financially and professionally.

Maintain records of all customer interactions, business transactions, and sales process input in designated tracking documents/CRM database; provides content direction for future sales call planning across the integrated "One DFH" customer team.

Track, meet/exceed daily, monthly, and quarterly productivity objectives that may be assigned.

Maintain frequent and transparent communication regarding individual performance and activities with Regional Sales Director.

Display initiative and commitment, successfully complete projects, and assignments in a timely manner, identify critical job role activities and tasks, and adjust priorities to meet the Company's goals and objectives.

Actively participate in sales meetings, conferences, trade shows, and other professional sessions, as requested.

Requirements:

Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Representative or similar role.

Track record of achieving sales quotas or performance-based objectives.

Ability to identify and research opportunities that come up in new and existing markets.
