Custodial Services contributes to the success of the college by providing a clean and safe environment for students, staff, and visitors while maintaining facilities at the highest standard possible, to ensure that teaching and learning occur in a safe and sanitary environment. Under the supervision of the Custodial Services Manager, the Custodian 3 will perform various custodial duties and will be responsible for inventory control and training new custodial staff.
This position is governed by a Collective Bargaining Agreement with representation by WFSE and subject to union shop provisions.

What you will be working on:*
- As directed by the Custodial Services Manager, instructs, and directs the work of Custodian 2 employees in custodial duties.
- As directed by the Custodial Services Manager, schedules and assigns work to employees, inspects and reports areas cleaned.
- Coordinates the schedules of assigned Custodial employees.
- Instructs custodial employees in proper cleaning techniques and safety practices, maintaining compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
- Counsel¿s custodial employees regarding performance on established standards.
- Cleans various public areas on the campus.
- Cleans and disinfects showers, restrooms, sinks, toilets.
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and waxes hard floors.
- Empties trash, and recycling containers.
- Set ups for events and furniture moving.
- Cleans carpets with shampooer and extractor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

What you bring as a candidate:* (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Understanding of Microsoft Office, including Outlook
- Demonstrated ability to use a computer to complete timesheets and other employment-related tasks
- Knowledge of current efficient cleaning methods, materials, tools, and equipment
- Knowledge of safe use and operation of equipment and chemicals used in custodial work, safe working methods, and procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Two (2) or more years of custodial maintenance experience
