About the Job
A Lead Camp Counselors is responsible for supervising the daily operations of Back of House including, feeding, medications, task assignments, play yard management, facility cleanliness, basic animal care, and some pet parent communication.

Primary Responsibilities
- Supervise daily BOH operations
- Assign daily tasks for Camp Counselors, including baths, enrichments, and cleaning
- Prepare and administer food and medications
- Lead daily dog interviews
- Coordinate with FOH to plan daily activities
- Assist BOH Assistant Manager with staff training
- Keep sufficient notes on all dogs
- Effectively and professionally communicate with Pet Parents
- Uphold standards of positive reinforcement and force-free methods while safely handling the dogs
- Effectively build positive relationships with dogs
- Effectively read, manage, and modify behavior in play yards with up to 25 dogs at a time
- Assist BOH Assistant Manager and Trainer in problem solving
- Incorporate various enrichments into daily activities both in and outside the yards
- Safely manage dogs while rotating between areas
- Ensure all areas are free of hair and odor, and maintain sanitation throughout the facility
- Effectively communicate with BOH Assistant Manager about overall wellbeing of the dogs
- Monitor and appropriately address all dogs in the facility for signs of stress or illness
- Commit to continued education for animal behavior and care provided by management
- Maximize fun and minimize stress for all dogs, employees, and clients

Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years or older
- Be able to safely lift 50lbs
- Constantly walk and/or stand entire shift

Availability
Must be able to work flexible schedule – Lead Camp Counselors are scheduled Wednesday-Tuesday 6am-8pm. Weekends and Holidays are required, but time off is permitted with advance notice.
