Maintenance Technician
JOB FUNCTION:
Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment, follow preventative maintenance programs, assist outside contractors
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
High School Graduate or GED. Must have maintenance training and experience in machine repair, hydraulic repair, electrical repair, machine tools, welding, carpentry and plumbing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Make repairs to equipment to maintain production schedules.
- Follow preventative maintenance program.
- Work with department supervisors to minimize disruption to production schedules when repairing critical production machinery.
- Follow appropriate ANSI, NEC codes; OSHA regulations, including safety requirements
- Work with outside contractors
- On call for after hours maintenance issues.
- Perform other duties as requested by management
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to stand and / or walk (being on your feet) for eight hours.
- Good vision, correctable with glasses.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Other requirements may be necessary as the job dictates.
WAGE, WORK HOURS AND BENEFITS:
- Hourly Wage: $18.50 up to $28.50 depending on current skills and experience. Starting wage determined during interview.
- Eligible for overtime (paid at “time-and-a-half”).
- Hours: 1st shift, 8-hours per week day plus overtime as needed. On call for after hours and weekend maintenance. May be required to work during off-shifts as needed.
