As a leader in the industry, we are rapidly growing and looking for an Business Development Manager - Military Sales to join our exciting team in a fast-paced environment in Rhome, TX. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales – Buildings Division, the Business Development Manager – Military Sales is responsible for driving continued growth of our Buildings division, while servicing and maintaining new and existing customers. The Business Development Manager will also be responsible for generating new potential customers by prospecting, cold calling, researching, networking, following-up, closing and managing accounts.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Establish, develop, nurture and maintain business relationships
- Follow up on leads and develop and deliver effective presentations and proposals to existing and potential customers
- Identify and develop opportunities within the Military sector
- Prepare accurate quotations and proposals
- Create and manage customer account information within ZOHO and NetSuite
- Communicate and collaborate with various internal departments to successfully coordinate the sales effort and customer satisfaction
- Plan, participate and report on tradeshows, industry/association events and conventions.
- Provide fanatical customer service and after sales service
- Provide management with written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services on a weekly and monthly basis through weekly sales reports and monthly standard accountability reports.
- Work with the Director of Sales to formulate a business plan and sales strategy for the military market to attain company sales and profitability goals.
- Represent GNB Global Inc. in a professional manner and adhere to legislation, company policies, procedures and business ethics.
Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience and with a history of competitive wins or programs in the GSA or Military sector. A demonstrated track record of success leading new large scale business initiatives.
- Proficient in MS Office
- Familiarity with customer relationship management software (CRM)
- Valid or ability to obtain a valid passport
- Excellent presentation, relationship building, negotiation and closing skills are a must
- Previous military experience a plus
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to obtain clearance for Military and government sites
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
