Summary
Automatic Products Co., Inc. is a leading manufacturer of aerospace/commercial machined parts in Sumner, Washington. We are seeking a persistent and meticulous Project Manager. Our customer base has grown exponentially over the past 10 years and is currently maturing faster than ever, thus we’re looking for an individual seeking growth, and the desire to succeed.
The ideal candidate will possess a robust attention to detail and an understanding of the importance of overall quality. Among a large set of tasks, the Project Manager will constantly focus on the ultimate goal of maintaining the highest level of accuracy possible, while understanding, and working within an overall sense of urgency.
Essential Functions
- Evaluate feasibility of job
- Review customer specifications and drawings
- Enter Customer Purchase Orders in our ERP System
- Review all details to ensure accuracy
- Track job to ensure a timely delivery
- Communicate directly with Customer to keep them up updated when necessary
Qualifications
- U.S. Person status required.
- Basic computer literacy in Windows environment and basic literacy in MS Office.
- Adaptable to change and to considerable variety in the workplace
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, team oriented, and ability to deal with a wide variety of personalities and communication styles
- Excellent attention to detail
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
None
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree useful.
- 3+ years in a similar role.
- Blueprint reading
- Prior experience in aerospace manufacturing a plus
- Keen attention to detail.
- Experience utilizing MRP system
- Ability to distinguish when appropriate to ask and when not to ask for clarification.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The job operates in a manufacturing plant operation and professional office environment. This role will use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines. In the manufacturing environment.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position, day shift Monday thru Friday, 7:30am to 4pm. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance is required. Overtime when required.

WAGE RANGE
$52,000 to $70,000 annual, depending on experience.
