Virginia Imports is looking for talented and energetic Sales Representatives to join our growing Sales team. This role is responsible for advancing and securing sales in a designated territory, servicing the needs of the existing sales accounts, and driving incremental business by using informed and consultative selling.
As a Sales Representative, you will cultivate and grow on-premise account relationships to maximize the sales of supplier brands through effective planning, selling execution and communication resulting in the achievement of company and supplier objectives.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
- Call on accounts and cover daily route by creating an established and efficient routing pattern.
- Analyzes account base by visiting each account and identifying opportunities, ensuring National Account compliance where applicable and completing necessary surveys.
- Prepares and delivers professional sales presentations to customers that focus on balancing company priorities, customer needs and developing Innovation brands.
- Maintains sufficient inventory levels in accounts to prevent out of stocks and provide for future growth.
- Develop knowledge of the Fine Wine business through paid Industry training
- Strategically plans on how best to achieve objectives by understanding company programming and pricing.
- Achieves Volume, Distribution and Activity goal objectives as set by management.
- Educates key customers on priority brands by conducting educational staff training seminars.
- Participates in supplier work withs and collaborative selling with Supplier partners
- Attends sales meetings and company events as scheduled.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or Related work experience.
- Ideal candidate will have previous Wine Industry experience or a passion for Wine.
- Must be a results-oriented professional with strong communication and customer service skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, high volume, team environment.
- Must be able to multi-task, work independently and within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines.
- Must have valid Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
