Brunswick School Department seeks a highly qualified administrative assistant to join our team. This is a key support position that works closely with the Assistant Superintendent, the Chief Academic Officer, and the Director of Educational Technology. Their responsibilities will include communications, public relations, programs, reports, logistics, planning, scheduling, and events/functions.
The ideal candidate should possess a combination of education and relevant work experience and demonstrate a track record of success in office support roles. They should have excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, enabling them to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and customer-service oriented, with a willingness to learn and take initiative to support the smooth operation of the office.
Technical Competencies

Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace is necessary

Experience with database management systems

Proficiency in office equipment operation (multi-line phone systems, printers, scanners, copiers)

Basic competence with graphic design tools

Experience with document management systems and file organization

Familiarity with video conferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meets)
Responsibilities
-
Welcoming and directing visitors to the Central Office
-
Arranging and preparing agendas and minutes for various official meetings
-
Preparing letters, memoranda, newsletters, flyers, forms and other communication materials from copy, notes, or direction

Maintaining district website content and social media presence

Assisting in the preparation of reports and presentations
-
Supporting Brunswick Cares 501(c)3 as needed

Scheduling and support of district-based meetings
-
Processing budgeting and creating requisitions for select groups and individuals
-
Assisting the Assistant Superintendent with maintenance of district policies, homeless education tracking and services, emergency management plan dissemination and revisions, volunteer processing and database maintenance, development and tracking of in-house staff training, record keeping of teacher induction and professional development activities, and maintenance of administrator evaluations

Assisting the Chief Academic Officer with scheduling of professional day activities, talent development, MTSS, the development and implementation of summer programming, development and reporting of local, state, and federal grants

Assisting the Director of Educational Technology with the purchase and maintenance of educational technology, implementation of technical applications in the central office, and support as needed

Qualifications

High school diploma required; some college training in business or public administration preferred

Compensation

This is a full time, year-round position with a pay range of $29.63 - $31.78.
