Key Responsibilities/Duties:
- Manage Trade spend to achieve or exceed US Net Sales Budget
- Provide the necessary level of analysis and recommendations to Commercial Controller and supporting teams to drive efficient and effective trade spend
- Embed financial responsibility and accountability in the Sales Organization
Other Responsibilities
Financial Reporting / Month end
- Provide Reconciliation of Trade Expenses in P&L and Balance Sheet monthly
- Resolve all Audit inquires related to Trade
- Month end close process including ensuring accuracy of Net Sales posted, Sales Reporting Package with commentary
- Manage Fixed Funds monthly working closely with Sales and Marketing
- Provide Weekly KPI inputs related to Net Sales and Standard Margin and any related research on variances to budget and prior year
- Support Marketing with innovation/renovation product reviews and financials
Budgeting / Forecasting
- Lead Budgeting process for Trade
- Lead Goal Setting process for Sales / Trade and Standard Margin by customer by brand and spend type
- Lead financials with Marketing on 3 year Commercial Plan
- Forecast weekly customer discounts and standard margin to support KPIs
- Identify Risks and Opportunities to maximize Net Sales
Analytics
- Evaluate and Approve Incremental Opportunities, Profitability, Impact to overall Trade Budget
- Support people development and training needs within Sales Finance Function
Functional/Job Experience:
- 5-10 years of finance experience, trade finance preferred, CPG experience preferred
Education/Qualifications:
- Finance Degree Highly Preferred
The pay scale for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The pay scale disclosed below has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The pay range for prospective employees in this role is between $130,000 and $160,000 per year.
