SUMMARY: The Customer Service Specialist I assists participants with status inquiries regarding agency applications. S/he assists with documenting complaints and recommendations and compiling reports.

Receives high volume of phone calls from participants and researches status of inquiry for the entire agency.

Receives complaints and informs participants of hearing procedures.
- Receives application verification documents and enters them into file electronically.

Assist with screening and scheduling.

Maintain a clean orderly environment at the front desk and stock intake forms, brochures and education materials.

Refers participants to community resources and other organizations for services not rendered by Palmetto CAP

Assists all agency directors and their customer base.

Assists Outreach Directors and Admin Assistant in administrative duties as assigned.

All other assigned duties.
Education and Experience:

Associate's degree required.

Some data entry experienced required.

Experience working in human service or customer service for twelve months or more, preferably in a non-profit environment.
