Outside Sales Engineer – Statesville Process Instruments Inc
Job Overview: The salesperson must be a results-driven salesman with a strong technical background in industrial instruments. He/she will play a crucial role in driving sales and establishing lasting relationships with clients. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and an ability to develop and maintain relationships. With the understanding that the applicant's technical experience might not be directly related to industrial process control, we do welcome your application if you can show prior experience in a related technical field. The territory is from Greensboro to the coast from Jacksonville north. There is lots of current business in the territory and a lot more to be pursued.
Applicant requirements:
- 4 year degree resulting in BS or BA
- Desire to learn new things every day.
- Desire to make a ton of money as there is no limit on our commission program.
- Ability to make relationships happen
Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through proactive lead generation and prospecting.
- Technical Expertise:
- Possess in-depth knowledge of industrial instruments, including but not limited to sensors, controllers, calibration and monitoring systems.
- Articulate technical specifications and features to potential clients, addressing their specific needs and requirements.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and competitive offerings.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate strong relationships with existing clients and serve as a trusted advisor.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the benefits and applications of industrial instruments.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their unique challenges and provide tailored solutions.
- Proposal Development:
- Prepare and present comprehensive proposals, including technical specifications, pricing, and contractual terms.
- Work closely with the internal technical team to ensure accurate and timely responses to client inquiries.
- Market Intelligence:
- Gather and analyze market intelligence to identify trends, competitive positioning, and potential opportunities.
- Provide feedback to the product development team based on customer needs and market demands
- Relations with business Process
- Make decisions as required and accept the responsibility for those decisions .
- Familiarize with the SPI MOP as to expectations.
- Work with assigned inside salespeople to develop customers and prospects.
