Position Overview:
The Event Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business and maintaining relationships with clients by selling our unique event solutions. This role involves identifying sales opportunities, presenting tailored event proposals, and managing the sales process from initial contact to contract closure. The ideal candidate will have a passion for events, strong sales skills, and the ability to build lasting client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Generation:
- Identify and target potential clients in various sectors including corporate, private, and community events.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Conduct market research to identify new sales opportunities and stay informed on industry trends.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and site visits to understand their event needs and showcase our solutions.
- Prepare and present customized event proposals and contracts tailored to client requirements.
Sales Process Management:
- Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure.
- Collaborate with the event production team to ensure seamless transition and execution of sold events
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the events or hospitality industry.
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence clients.
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by client needs.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, site visits, and industry events.
