Job Opportunity: Survey Instrument Operator
We are seeking a hardworking individual to join our field team. In this role, the Survey Instrument Operator will assist the Survey Party Chief in conducting field surveys, gathering data, and ensuring accurate measurements. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Survey Party Chief in conducting land surveys and measurements.
- Set up, adjust, and operate surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS units, and levels.
- Accurately measure distances and angles and record data.
- Place survey markers, stakes, and flags as needed.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with the Survey Party Chief and other team members.
- Assist in recording field notes, measurements, and data for thorough documentation and analysis.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions and outdoor environments.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in land surveying or a related field working outdoors.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and access to reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug tests with negative results.
- Willingness to travel overnight and out-of-state as needed.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
