Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in procurement activities, ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services required for business operations.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the purchasing team to buy goods, materials, and services
- Support production planning by ensuring timely availability of required resources
- Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery
- Adhere to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and company procurement policies
- Negotiate prices and contracts with vendors
- Oversee materials management to maintain optimal inventory levels
- Assist in quality management by verifying product specifications and standards
- Facilitate contract management processes
Experience:
- Proven experience in procurement, supplier management, and contract negotiations
- Familiarity with materials management and quality control practices
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently
