POSITION SUMMARY
This role provides engineering expertise to maintain and improve current equipment and install new equipment including the development, improvement/modification and building of clean rooms/pharma suites through PLC programming and electrical applications.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Equipment Maintenance:
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair machinery and systems to minimize downtime.
- Calibrate and validate equipment to comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Install new equipment and systems as needed
Facility Maintenance:
- Oversee the maintenance of the manufacturing plant, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Ensure that the facility meets all safety and regulatory requirements.
- Install new HVAC systems as needed
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for improving equipment performance and reliability.
- Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and other regulatory requirements.
- Participate in audits and inspections as needed.
TEAM COLLABORATION
· Work closely with production, quality assurance, and engineering teams to support manufacturing operations.
· Provide training and guidance to junior maintenance staff and operators.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance engineering, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
· Strong knowledge of GMP and regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical manufacturing.
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
· Certification in maintenance or reliability engineering is a plus.
SKILLS
· Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing complex machinery and systems.
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
· Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
· Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
· Willingness to be on call and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
