GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Assembly position is responsible for the timely and accurate production of residential, commercial, and/or industrial water treatment systems for Franklin Water Treatment customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Comply with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per the Franklin Electric Quality System.
- Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.
- Uses available parts to assemble various water treatment equipment or kits according to operating instructions.
- Safely operate a forklift.
- Report problems with quality, process, equipment, and materials to Production Supervisor.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
- Meets daily production schedule as assigned.
- Operates various workstations to complete assembly of scheduled parts.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Skills and Abilities
- Reads and understands documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Utilizes common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
- Provides accurate work on a consistent basis meeting precise tolerances and standards.
- Interpersonal skills sufficient to work closely with others on a team.
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility in work environment performing a variety of frequently changing tasks.
- Ability to work alone effectively under stress and in situations dangerous to self or others.
- Completes some moderately repetitive tasks.
- Ability to stay organized and order materials around the warehouse.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (required).
- 1-3 years or more experience working in a manufacturing type position (preferred).
- Forklift Certification with 1-3 years or more of forklift experience (preferred).

- Continually required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.; stand.
- Regularly required to walk.
- Occasionally required to sit; ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps; turn wrenches, valves, or handles; bend or twist; use upper extremities; reach above shoulders; reach to full extension.
