Job Overview:
The Facility Services Technician provides custodial services, completes preventative maintenance and routine repair of agency buildings, grounds, and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute a preventative maintenance plan
- Perform annual maintenance inspections
- Receive, log, prioritize, and complete repair requests
- Keep grounds free of seasonal debris, snow, and ice
- Maintain lawns, shrub and flower beds
- Clean carpeting, windows, interior and exterior walls
- Paint facility walls and other surfaces as needed
- Coordinate resident, volunteer, and employee safety training.
- Educate employees and volunteers on safety regulation
- Complete regular safety inspections of properties; quickly addresses open and potential issues; report violations and incidents with adverse impact
- Monitor equipment and custodial supply inventory; replenish or request per established procedure
- Pick up donated goods and make deliveries
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ facility maintenance and groundskeeping experience
- High School diploma or equivalent required, with technical/vocational component(s) preferred
- Proficiency in English for effective communication within the team.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office suite
- Awareness of and empathy for social, emotional, and personal aspects of domestic violence
- Available and willing to work some evenings and weekends, as well as occasional on-call shifts
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license with less than six points, and proof of automobile insurance, adhering to the minimum requirements of Ohio’s Financial Responsibility Act
