Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Specialist to join our team. As a Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and implementing effective safety programs to minimize workplace hazards. Your expertise in risk management, occupational health, and compliance management will be crucial in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Duties:
- Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and industry standards
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Provide training to employees on safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop preventive measures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement safety initiatives
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training sessions, and other relevant data
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to occupational health and safety
- Assist in workers' compensation claims management process
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Safety Specialist or similar role in a construction or industrial setting
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, NEC codes, and other relevant safety standards
- Strong understanding of risk management principles and practices
- Proficient in using construction management software for safety documentation and reporting
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively train employees on safety protocols
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to identify potential hazards and recommend preventive measures
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
