Assistant Manager Job Description:
Summary: This Assistant Manager will oversee the processing of Workers’ Compensation claims to ensure the procedures are handled efficiently, accurately, and in a manner that protects the interest of our clients while also providing excellent customer service. Assistant Managers manage a team of up to twelve (12) Claim Adjustors, oversee their team’s claims inventory, and provide valuable and consistent feedback to the Claim Adjustors. They must effectively communicate with the Director of Claims.
Essential Duties: Essential job duties for this position include the following items. Other duties must be performed as assigned or required.
§ Provide supervision feedback in File Handler to adjusters on their claims.
§ Assist with training of new hires, less experienced staff, and provide monthly training for all staff.
§ Responsible for completing performance reviews of their team and are involved in performance improvement plans/discussions of their staff when warranted.
§ Participate in claim reviews with clients.
§ Responsible for approving time off requests.
§ Work closely with Triad’s Director of Client Relations when a claim issue arises.
§ Participate in Excess Carrier Audits and prepare email responses to carriers on excess carrier claims.
§ Complete and submit previous month-end report to Director of Claims by the 5th of each month.
§ Field phone calls from providers, clients, and claimant when needed.
§ Prepare month-end report for clients.
§ Maintain strong communication skills.
§ Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures.
Supervisory Responsibilities: The Assistant Manager has supervisory responsibility for the Claims Department, including approximately twelve (12) direct reports.

Education/Experience:
§ Four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior excess carrier experience preferred

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
