CME is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Early Learning Director of Classroom and Family Services to oversee our classroom and family services throughout our service area.
Support the mission and vision of Community-Minded Enterprises and the Early Learning Department by:
- Leading CME Services: Oversee all classroom and family services within the region, excluding CCA WA contract coaching and development.
- Ensuring Excellence: Meet all contractual, agency, and departmental requirements for smooth, effective operations.
- Collaborative Integration: Work with CME leaders to blend supervised services with other CME offerings.
- Advocating for CME: Represent classroom and family services at local, regional, and state levels.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership:
- Provide goals and support for successful CME contracts, classrooms, and family services outcomes.
Program and Regional Office Oversight:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for family services and ECEAP operations.
- Recruit and support ECEAP subcontractors.
- Ensure efficient operations of family services and ECEAP programs.
- Manage ECEAP classroom services to meet licensing and performance standards.
- Oversee CME Southern Region offices for smooth operations.
Planning and Organization:
- Create detailed plans with clear goals and timelines.
- Monitor progress to ensure timely achievement of goals and KPIs.
Team Leadership and Supervision:
- Lead and supervise Associate Directors and Managers.
- Ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, training, and team building.
Budgeting:
- Develop and manage budgets for family services and ECEAP programs.
- Monitor finances to maintain stability.
- Seek funding opportunities and collaborate on grant proposals.
Service Integration:
- Collaborate with CME leadership to provide seamless client services across the agency.
Advocacy and Relationships:
- Build and maintain positive community relationships with partners and stakeholders.
- Represent CME at meetings and advocate for early childhood education policies.
- Stay informed on early childhood education trends.
- Participate in coalition meetings and raise awareness of early childhood issues.
Quality Assurance:
- Oversee reporting and monitoring to ensure compliance.
- Conduct program evaluations and recommend improvements.
- Address non-compliance or performance issues.
Program Development:
- Support new program development with the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Social Enterprise Team.
- Launch new programs, manage budgets, set up staffing, and handle communications.
Requirements:
Education/Experience:
- B.A. in Early Childhood/Early Learning or another related field. Demonstrated senior-level, long-term leadership in early learning may substitute for the Bachelor's degree.
- Preferred M.A., MBA, or M.Ed. Degree in Education, Business, or Organizational Development with an early learning emphasis
- At least 5 years of supervisory experience.
- At least 5 years experience in successfully managing early learning classroom systems in Washington State, including ECEAP or Headstart and/or licensed childcare.
- Experience and knowledge of Early Learning Coalitions, as defined by the Department of Children, Youth & Families, Washington Communities for Children, preferred.
- Experience working in community collaborations associated with quality early learning is preferred.
Certificates and Licenses:
- Current valid driver’s license and automobile insurance required.
- Ability to pass Washington State and Federal background checks and ability to pass the portable background check.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $91,200.00 - $127,370.00 per year
