Position Summary
Working in collaboration with and under the guidance of the Manager of Finance, the Accounting Assistant & Invoice Clerk will perform the following essential duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure Medworks files are backed up each morning.
- Send invoices to clients.
- Generate and issue account statements.
- Generate credit memos.
- Track expenses.
- Respond to billing queries from clients.
- Assist in processing outstanding case logs and invoices.
- Process purchase orders.
- Manage accounts to recover outstanding debts.
- Resolve billing discrepancies.
- Process Accounts Payables online and in QuickBooks as needed.
- Check mail and enter bills into QuickBooks.
Qualifications and Desired Skills
This role requires 1 to 3 years of relevant experience or a combination of skills and experience. The successful applicant will have:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
- Experience in bank reconciliations and budget management.
- Proficiency with general ledger details, journal entries, and investment entries (incoming and outgoing).
- Prior experience balancing accounts.
- Strong proficiency in Excel.
- Strong work ethic and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Experience using QuickBooks or other accounting software.
