Responsibilities

Within a core carrier network of 6-8 insurance companies use the on line systems to quote all lines of insurance.

Be familiar with the underwriting appetite of these carriers and quickly identify comprehensive coverage at the best possible pricing

Some risks you will need to complete a standard submission to be placed with our aggregator to quote to a larger number of carriers

Field underwriter questions
- In coordination with the producers and/or account managers you will obtain underwriting information to execute complete accord forms and supplemental applications.

Review various proposal from the carriers and make recommendation of placement with the producer and/or account manager

Assist in the preparation of final agency proposals

Assist the account manager in familiarizing coverages and pricing for a seamless transition
Requirements

A minimum of 3 years' experience in commercial lines in an agency capacity

A firm understanding of coverage options across multiple policies among multiple industries especially contractors, truckers and LROs
-
Be familiar with the rating platforms of Selective, Travelers, Hanover, Mapfre, Merchants, Acadia, Liberty Mutual and Safety
- Have familiarity with the Accord applications

A plus would be to have experience in AMS

Valid Massachusetts Property & Casualty Producers License
