Insurance broker position - working with clients to assist in shopping for and enrolling in health insurance. This includes medicare, individual (including ACA/Marketplace), and small group plans.
Brokers receive leads that make up 80% of their production in Year 1, but are expected to develop lead sources of their own over time. Prospects/clients come from company advertising and call-in's from community reputation/referrals, so they are very high quality.
The position includes a base salary (negotiable amount) plus commissions. First year total pay average is $70k, second year average is $90k, third year average is $105k. Commissions include renewal commissions (often called residuals) for existing book of business, so pay becomes more guaranteed and higher every year.
While we have been in business for 8 years, we are growing rapidly with an innovative new website, lead system, and company brand. We are looking for high producers and hard workers that are honest and have clients best interests at heart. Past sales experience is a must, and previous/existing health insurance licensing is a big bonus.
Established agents have the freedom to work from home or the office. Agents must be able to come into the office every day for the first month, for training (9-5). After Month 1, new agents need to be able to come in the office 2-3 days a week until they are well established and producing at a high level (usually the first 6 months). We are hiring managers, too, who will be promoted with a priority on in-office employees. We also help pay for coworking/office space for remote high producers after Year 1 as a part of our "franchise" model.
