Overview:
A Personal Care Assistant or CNA provides non-medical care to EverSpring Home Care, LLC clients in the client’s residence and outside of the residence as needed. Personal Care Assistants must be committed to the mission and vision of EverSpring Home Care and possess the desire to assist clients to maximize their independence and reach their fullest potential. You will play a vital role in delivering compassionate and high-quality care working closely with clients to help with activities of daily living (ADLs) and provide valuable support to enhance their overall well-being. You may also perform home maintenance and organizing tasks, including light housekeeping.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility with respect and encouragement for independence.
- Help with safe transfers, repositioning, and exercises to maintain physical health and prevent pressure sores.
- Remind clients to take medications as prescribed, ensuring safety and accurate documentation.
- Support meal planning, preparation, and feeding according to dietary needs and preferences.
- Provide emotional support and engage in meaningful conversations to enhance mental well-being.
- Report any unusual incidents promptly and respond to emergencies as needed.
- Notify supervisors of changes in clients’ physical condition, behavior, or appearance.
- Maintain accurate records of care activities, medication logs, and client condition updates.
- Adhere to company policies, including HIPAA regulations, and ensure all records are organized and inspection-ready.
Qualifications:
- Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) certification in Georgia required.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and dedicated to providing exceptional care and support.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and families.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to adhering to scheduled shifts and responsibilities.
- Proficient in infection control practices, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment.
- Skilled in following care plans and implementing healthcare provider instructions.
- Able to adapt to changing client needs and demonstrate clinical decision-making.
- Current CPR certification and knowledge of home care regulations (preferred).
- Possession of a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
- Proficient in computer skills including MS Office Suite, home health software, and able to pass required screenings (background, TB, drug, and health assessments).
