The Division Assistant Controller manages transaction processing and reporting for health insurance clients. This position reviews detailed client reporting packages and complex trust account reconciliations, and oversees the work of the processing team and Financial Analysts. This individual also works closely with operational and support teams on process improvement and IT-related projects. The role requires a detail-oriented problem solver with strong technical, organizational, and communication skills who works well in a deadline-driven environment.
Hours: Day shift, 40-hour work weeks. Flexible schedule options between 7am - 7pm and hybrid remote work-from-home opportunities are available.
Setting: Professional office environment.

Responsibilities

Performs detailed reviews of client reporting packages for completeness and accuracy.

Reviews complex exception-based transactions and reconciliations, including trust account reconciliations.

Manages recovery transaction processing functions.

Researches and resolves client and internal issues.

Assists in new client implementations, including coordinating with other departments to establish proper workflows and ensuring that required data is mapped properly for reporting.

Supports system changes, including preparing detailed specifications and testing in all environments.

Maintains strict confidentiality over financial information and data.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or other related field is required. CPA or public accounting experience preferred.
- Five or more years in an accounting, auditing or finance role, preferably with significant exposure to financial analysis, reporting and reconciliation processes.
- Two to three years of management experience.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and a strong technological knowledge base.
