Instrumentation Foreman
Supervise to testing, inspection, troubleshooting and calibration if instrumentation equipment to ensure that that it is in good working order. Assess, schedule, and assign predictive and preventative maintenance tasks; troubleshoot electrical, Information Technology, and instrumentation equipment and systems; estimate time, cost, labor, and material needs.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage preventative maintenance routines to assigned equipment including 3rd party test equipment.
- Investigate and solve technical problems that involve equipment and processes that affect product quality and equipment reliability.
- Ensure code compliance with all State and Federal codes and compliance with Company policies and procedures including annual inspections of the above-referenced equipment and facilities.
- Assure that information related to maintenance, operation, and training activities and changes to procedures and equipment are up-to-date and accurately recorded.
- Train a well-motivated, competent workforce capable of carrying out the various tasks necessary to maintain the safe, reliable, and economic operations of all equipment using prepared, up-to-date training programs.
- One of the maintenance contacts for any unplanned Production Area shutdown, equipment failure, or unplanned need for instrumentation maintenance.
- Provide guidance and supervision on the determination of severity, course of action, and notification of relevant personnel of potential issues, equipment failures.
- Supervise nonexempt and other employees within platform teams.
- Responsible for timely and proper execution of all instrumentation (instrument) jobs relevant to their assigned areas.
- Monitor and report on job quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of all craft jobs, carrying out regular field follow-up visits to ensure work progress, clear barriers and to support/coach instrument craftsmen.
- Support the daily instrumentation needs of large zone within the facility by supervising craftsmen and working with instrument and analyzer technical support.
- Interface with Maintenance Schedulers, Instrumentation Team, and other Maintenance & Mechanical Supervisors to share resources and meet the highest priority needs of the facility.
- Development & implementation of safe work practices and standard maintenance instructions for the use of the electrical and instrumentation group.
- Plan and execute routine and turnaround maintenance on the electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Coordinate instrument and electrical maintenance activities and train direct reports as necessary.
- Oversee the operator training of new and existing staff to ensure team is fully trained in, committed to, and conduct their activities in accordance with all aspects of Company safety and quality requirements.
- Must be willing to respond to after hour calls from the site.
- Willingness to come to the site in the event of an unplanned or emergent need.
- Develop and maintain a callout list of certified technicians.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required for this Position:
Education: Associates degree in Instrumentation and Electrical
Certification/License: NCCER Instrumentations required; NCCER Supervisor is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of Eight (8) years of cumulative experience.
