Position Overview:
Seeking a Manual QA engineer and Software Product Support Resource to join our team in Houston, TX.
This dual-role position focuses on manual testing of our software applications and providing responsive product support. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various departments to ensure our applications meet high-quality standards and effectively address user inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance:
- Perform manual testing on our software applications to identify and report defects.
- Develop and execute test cases, scripts, and plans for comprehensive coverage.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand features and functionalities.
- Document and track issues, working towards prompt resolutions.
Product Support:
- Respond to and resolve support requests from internal and external users.
- Provide detailed and accurate troubleshooting information.
- Gather and analyze data from SQL Server to address issues and support report-building needs.
- Assist users with product questions and provide guidance on application use.
- Create and maintain support documentation for end-users and internal teams.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of new features and fixes.
- Participate in team meetings to provide insights from QA and support perspectives.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years in Manual software testing or product support roles.
- Proficiency in manual testing techniques and methodologies.
- Experience with SQL Server for data retrieval and report building.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and support platforms is a plus.
