WE CURRENTLY HAVE AN EXCITING CAREER OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE FOR AN INVENTORY/MATERIAL COORDINATOR.
Under the direction of the production supervisor, will professionally and effectively process accurate and timely inventory transactions as well as perform material handling duties. Coordinate the daily flow of product to and from work cells, final inspection, shipping and stock locations consistent with the fundamentals of the inventory replenishment system and in support of company objectives for Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate bills of materials (BOM's), and create work orders for required product.
Pull material and stage to the appropriate department.
- Confirm recorded quantities by physically counting items and close production work orders as they are completed to update inventory for Replenished Components and / or Finished Goods.
- Process Inventory Transfers accordingly as items are accepted / rejected and moved to and from various departments to maintain accurate and timely inventory location records.
- Coordinates flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between work cells and departments according to replenishment signals, production and shipping schedules or department priorities.
- Generate daily shipping schedule and deliver the correct item and quantity from finished goods inventory to Shipping. When necessary coordinate activities with Quality and Shipping to meet requirements of schedule.
- Work closely with the Planner/Scheduler and other department leads on status of overdue parts and expedites accordingly while communicating status and concerns to appropriate department leaders and /or managers.
- Process other systems transactions such as scrap tracking.
- Manage inventory records utilizing cycle counting to maintain inventory accuracy and control.
- Receives finish goods inventory from Final Inspection and ensure materials are placed in their proper locations with proper identification/WIP tags.
- Rotate inventory, magnets and bins as required while maintaining material lot control.
- Maintain required MRO items and shipping supplies for assigned work area, initiating re-order signals for replenishment.
- Perform cycle counts to verify the accuracy of inventory as material is stored in bins.
- Safeguards material during transportation and storage, ensuring clean and free of damage.
- Operates pallet jack and/or forklift to unload, transport, and load parts.
- Oversee and perform the bailing of scrap material.
- Maintains a clean, safe and organized work area and observes all safety rules and procedures.
- Perform all other duties as assigned in support of overall company objectives.
Experience:
- Knowledge and experience working with work order systems
- Tow motor experience is Required.
Education/Training:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent - preferred
Skills:
- Good oral, and written Communication Skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Microsoft Outlook and Excel is essential
- Good math aptitude
- High degree of organization skills and deadline focus
- High accuracy when working with details and numbers
