Cleanroom Device Engineer

The Energy Conversion branch is seeking a cleanroom engineer to provide fabrication support for a number of branch projects. The technician will enable the acceleration of technology development to create a higher-throughput design - fabricate - analysis cycle.
We are seeking a Cleanroom Engineer with experience in working with nitride semiconductors and MEMS to join our fast-paced, collaborative team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the production of nitride semiconductor and MEMS devices in a cleanroom environment. You will work under the supervision of senior staff and contribute to the development and optimization of new fabrication processes and techniques for cutting-edge devices.
Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:
- Operate equipment for the fabrication of nitride semiconductor and MEMS devices, including photolithography, etching, and deposition techniques.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to ensure the quality and integrity of the devices.
- Participate in the development and optimization of new fabrication processes and techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of all procedures and results in compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve project goals and timelines.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Associates Degree or equivalent; some college coursework in a relevant field preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in a cleanroom environment working with nitride semiconductors and/or MEMS.
- Familiarity with cleanroom safety protocols, equipment operation, and process control.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate records.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to obtain a secret clearance
- US Citizenship is mandatory.
Work Experience Desired:
- Associates Degree or equivalent; some college coursework in a relevant field preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in a cleanroom environment working with nitride semiconductors and/or MEMS.

The selected candidate will be an employee of General Technical Services LLC (GTS).
