Chef/Kitchen Manager
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef/Kitchen Manager to oversee our culinary operations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food production, service, and maintaining high standards in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing team moral and company culture. Leakey is a tourist town so we get incredibly busy during the Summer months and then do a lot of catered events the rest of the year. We are a small business in a small town and want to be sure that anyone we bring in is a team player and adds positivity to our work environment and to our community.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, team management, and recipe development
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Supervise kitchen staff and provide training as needed
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as necessary
- Collaborate with the owners to develop menu offerings and/or specials
- Work with the owners to coordinate catering events
- Monitor food quality and consistency
Requirements:
- Proven experience in food production and service
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of food handling procedures and sanitation guidelines
- Previous experience in a restaurant or catering setting is preferred

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
