Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Production Planner/Scheduler to join our team. Reporting to Plant Operations, this role is crucial in driving demand through our PRP/MRP system and ensuring the seamless coordination of our complex manufacturing processes. With the retirement of our current scheduler at the end of the year, there will be a 6-month transition period to learn existing processes and implement improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure efficient manufacturing operations.
- Utilize PRP/MRP systems to drive demand and adjust plans as necessary to meet production goals.
- Coordinate with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Customer Care departments to ensure all project details are accurately communicated and executed.
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to schedules and identify any potential delays or issues.
- Implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency and effectiveness.
- Train with the current scheduler to understand existing practices and procedures, with a goal of refining and enhancing the scheduling process.
- Ensure the final product meets the unique specifications of our clients, promoting a high-quality, reliable, and productive machine.
- Use Infor Visual ERP system to manage and track production schedules and inventory.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Production Planner/Scheduler in a complex manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of PRP/MRP systems and production planning software.
- Experience with Infor Visual ERP system is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various departments.
- Ability to adapt to changing demands and make necessary adjustments to production plans.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on process improvement and efficiency.
