Wölffer Estate, a sustainable vineyard in the heart of the Hamptons, seeks an experienced Hospitality Manager to help lead all day-to-day operations of Wolffer Winestand. The Hospitality Manager is responsible for supporting the staff to provide the best experience for our guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
· Oversee the daily staff including Winestand.
· Greeting all of the customers to ensure they are having an enjoyable experience
· Acknowledging the guests, problem solving when incidents occur and using skills to alleviate stress on the floor
· Have solid computer and various software knowledge: POS, Inventory systems, Excel, Word, Outlook
· Special event set up and sales
· Be able to work unsupervised in absence of Retail Sales Director or Winestand Manager. Must take ownership of the Winestand, stay on task, take initiative to see what needs to be done in the Winestand and delegate effectively.
· Create a positive working environment for the team – encouraging staff to meet sales goals and incentives set out by Director.
· Provide feedback and suggestions to Director based on what is going on the sales floor: guest wants, needs, and suggestions
· Knowledge of all wines and merchandise and be able to help guests with sales
· Quick decision making and excellent communication skills.
· Check in and out wine orders

· Opening/Closing duties
