Job Description and Requirements:
Our CDL Drivers are the face of Northeast Building & Home with our customers, providing exceptional customer service while delivering to Homes and Job sites, On-Time & In-Full. Our CDL Drivers make decisions that maximize journey value, reduce run costs and increase efficiency while never compromising on the Safety of people, product and property.
Responsibilities specific to the CDL Driver:
Provide exceptional customer service over the phone and at delivery locations. Call customers to provide delivery ETAs and updates. Build positive relationships with customers and communities.
Safely load and unload delivery vehicles using a counterbalance forklift, a truck mounted forklift or by hand to prevent injury or damage. Walk the delivery site before unloading to confirm the safety of the terrain, travel path and unload location. Ensure deliveries are completed injury free and without damage to product, property, or equipment.
Confirm all delivery details using the Run Sheet, Customer Invoices or Transfer documents. These details include the correct delivery address, correct product and payment in-full.
Every Run is provided with a cellular phone and a delivery app that includes GPS route guidance, GPS tracking, and delivery confirmations. Ensure photos are uploaded once product is delivered and deliveries are marked as delivered in the app.
Responsibilities of every Associate:
Enthusiasm to greet customers anywhere on the property.
Maintain a positive, productive work environment through friendly, respectful relationships with customers & co-workers.
Execution of daily operational duties including: product organization, store cleanliness and inventory cycle counts.
Keep all machinery, equipment, and tools clean and in good working order for safe usage.
Reports all issues regarding safety, waste, damage, equipment, accidents or customer concerns promptly to a member of Management.
Informs Operations Manager promptly of suspected inventory shortage.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Valid Commercial Class B Driver’s License and Current Medical Card
Ability to pass company administered Forklift Driver Certification and safely operate a forklift
Must be able to safely operate equipment in all types of weather conditions.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.
Able to stand and move throughout the entire property for up to 8 hours
Work under extreme heat or cold weather conditions.
Work safely around moving trucks and moving machinery/equipment
Work a flexible schedule that includes weekends.
Ability to write, read, and communicate in English
Submit to random drug testing
