Job Summary:
Provides a broad range of clerical functions for physicians and patients.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Greet patients, visitors and co-workers in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner.
- Answer all phone calls; take a call back messages for back office staff.
- Pulls charts with patient info/message or medication refill request for back office.
- Reviews all referrals and schedule all patients within a timely manner.
- Send physician fax backs with scheduled date and time, no shows, canceled appointments, etc.
- Creates chart prep/ pre-registration for all incoming patients and verifies all insurance prior to patient’s scheduled appointments.
- Schedules follow up appointments.
- Register patients in a complete and accurate manner to conform to all regulatory requirements. If any updates are warranted, the clerk is required to update at that time.
- Responsible for completed new patient packets to be completed by the patient.
- Collect monies at the time of service.
- Count money drawer daily. Close out credit card machine daily.
and complete reconciliation form for each day.

Responsible for taking daily deposits to assigned personnel.
- Send patient count(s) nursing, no shows, cancel, and complete, etc. daily.
- Send records back to referring physician once patients are seen and treated.
- Follow up on no show/canceled appointments.
- Check mail, drops off physician coat for cleaning.
- Perform basic clerical duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITIES:

Knowledge of office equipment and ability to handle multi-time telephones.
- Basic math and computer skills.
MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education – High school diploma or equivalent.
- Work Experience – Customer service, computer. Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
