JOB SUMMARY:
We are searching for our next SUPER STAR ! As our PRN Pharmacist you will be able to assist in maintaining a system for ordering, storing, dispensing, delivering and controlling medication in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations Centro Del Barrio policies. Helps maintain the highest quality of care for Centro patients. (This role is assigned to AS NEEDED)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists with the legal operation of the pharmacy to include compliance with all inspections and other requirements of state and federal laws or sections governing the practice of pharmacy.

Ensures that the pharmacy is properly secured at all times.

Assists to ensure that the pharmacy is in compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations.

Assists to ensure that the policies and procedures in the pharmacy manual and decisions of the QI/RM Committee are enforced and carried out in practice.

Assists to ensure that the pharmacy is properly stocked and maintained with the necessary medications.

Assists to ensure that adequate records are kept and timely reports are made.

Assists in providing monthly reports on the status of the pharmacy regarding the number of prescriptions that were filled with the clinic as well as identify new versus refill prescriptions and third party prescriptions.

Assists the PIC in supervising supportive personnel and for designating and delegating duties to them.

Assists in providing education and training to pharmacy supportive personnel.

Performs other duties as assigned to achieve the mission and goals of the pharmacy and the agency and renewing credentials every 2 years assigned by HR credentialing.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
Performance will be evaluated using the Performance Evaluation CDB Form 1006c (Rev 2/94) wherein a satisfactory overall rating is considered as a minimum acceptable level of performance.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Graduate from an approved school of pharmacy and registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy to practice pharmacy.
Must meet the continuous education and training requirements set forth by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. CPR Certification
Experience: Working knowledge of law and pharmaceutical practices and principles.
Other: Working knowledge of inventory control and accountability. Licensed to dispense medications in the State of Texas.
Must have no restrictions on license in any area for the practice of pharmacy.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
Must be able to meet the attendance requirements of the position.
Must not pose a threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
Physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds unassisted.
