QA Technician/Sanitation - 2nd Shift
The QA Technician tests and conducts routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials, in-process, and finished product, using variety of testing devices and procedures to maintain product quality.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for post-sanitation inspection
- Assure product throughout the production process is carried out by plant HACCP, SSOP and GMP procedures.
- Ensure sanitation conditions in production areas are maintained following regulatory requirements.
- Perform HACCP, SSOP and GMP-related tasks.
- Comply with all GMP and GFSI requirements.
- Assist USDA inspectors if required.
- Monitor production processing via scheduled QA inspections.
- Conduct necessary quality inspections using proper equipment and techniques.
- Assist with problem-solving – root cause analysis – corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of quality inspection results.
- Assist with sanitation training and instruction for production operators
- Provide supervisor with detailed quality reports as required
- Other duties as required by the quality supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma / GED desired or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in QA/QC for a food manufacturer
- Available to work 8 - 10 hours shift
- Experience working with USDA facility.
- Knowledge of HACCP, SSOP and GMP.
- Communicate effectively during shift change.
- Ability to work in a cold environment will be exposed to wet or humid conditions
- Physical demands: continuously required to stand or walk, must frequently lift and / or push/ pull up to 50lb with the aid of a team member
