JOB SUMMARY
The Accounts Payable Supervisor plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the company’s accounts payable function with a high level of efficiency in compliance with company policies and procedures. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, payments, reconciliations, staff training as needed, and supporting the month end close. This role communicates and maintains strong relationships with vendors and internal colleagues regarding account payables.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Invoice Processing: Manage accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, including verification of invoice details, ensure that any discrepancies are identified and resolved, coding, and approval workflows.
- Payment Processing: Manage the processing of timely vendor payments (check, credit card, electronic/ACH, wire transfers), ensuring adherence to payment terms and schedules.
- Employee Expense Reimbursements: Process employee reimbursements ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Vendor Management: Maintain strong relationships with vendors by ensuring prompt and professional communication, accuracy in vendor contracts, timely payments, and adherence to terms and conditions.
- Compliance and Reporting: Adhere to regulatory requirements such as the quarterly Use Tax filing, preparing financial reports related to accounts payable, and providing insights into payment trends and forecasting.
- Collaboration and Communication: Partner with internal departments such as procurement and operations to streamline processes, resolve discrepancies, and ensure a seamless workflow.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance accounts payable processes for efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
PREREQUISITE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 3-5 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Supervisor
- QuickBooks experience strongly preferred but not required
- Strong working knowledge Microsoft 365 applications.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to deliver an extraordinary customer service experience across external and internal working relationships
- Able to work both independently and part of a team with minimal guidance
- Ability to collaborate effectively with employees, clients, and vendors with varied communication
- Able to manage time effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills including tact, diplomacy and flexibility to work effectively with all levels of the team

This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience. • Minimum Salary: $72,800.00 • Maximum Salary: $99,840.00
