The Production Manager will be responsible for managing the activities of supervisory staff in charge of production, ensuring the health, safety, and morale of production employees are prioritized. This role is critical in meeting our production schedules, quality requirements, and advancing our continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee production schedules and ensure quality requirements are met consistently.
- Address and resolve collective agreement issues, including grievance matters effectively.
- Conduct regular reviews of departmental performance against budget, finance plans, and plant-operation goals; develop and implement continuous improvement plans.
- Foster a team-based manufacturing environment among production employees.
- Collaborate with the Management Team in planning, budgeting, and implementing Total Quality Management (TQM) and the 5S program.
- Uphold the highest standards of safe work practices and promote a safety-oriented attitude within the plant.
Job Requirements
- Proven supervisory or managerial experience, with a strong ability to plan, lead, and delegate tasks. - Solid understanding of assembly operation processes, cost center management, including budgeting, cost reduction plans, and customer quality requirements. - Familiarity with collective agreements, health, safety, environmental, and employment legislation.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Management, Production Management, or a related Manufacturing or Business field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive managerial experience in a manufacturing operation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity. - Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications relevant to manufacturing operations.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
