Job Overview:
Law Firm is seeking a full time divorce/ family law associate. Must have experience with contested divorce matters. We are seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in divorce and family law.
Duties:
- Conduct legal research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis to support case preparation
- Assist in drafting legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, appeals, contracts, and agreements
- Represent clients in court proceedings and hearings
- Provide legal advice on a wide range of issues including environmental law, family law, securities law, estate planning, and tribal law regulations
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and arguments
- Review and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses
- Handle client intake interviews and consultations
- Maintain accurate and detailed case files
Qualifications:
-Admission to NYS bar and Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in the state of NY
- Strong knowledge of various legal areas including environmental law, family law, securities law, estate planning, tribal law regulations
- Experience in legal administrative tasks such as legal drafting and litigation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Pay: $115,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
