Position Overview:
· The Senior Buyer – HBC will be responsible for the procurement of health and beauty care products for ICM. This role involves sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing products that provide our customers with the highest quality assortment for the retail space allocated to such products with the goal of maximizing sales and inventory turnover. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing, a deep understanding of the health and beauty care market, and excellent negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
· Supplier Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains and favorable terms.
· Product Sourcing: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers of health and beauty care products, ensuring they meet our quality, price, and delivery standards, as well as provide our customers with outstanding retail assortments.
· Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure the best possible financial results for ICM and its customers.
· Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock is available to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory.
· Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to make informed purchasing decisions.
· Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including sales, marketing, and logistics, to align purchasing activities with company objectives.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration - Supply Chain Management, or a related field, preferred.
· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in purchasing, preferably within the health and beauty care industry.
· Strong negotiation and communication skills.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Familiarity with health and beauty care product regulations and standards.
