Omega Accounting Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant (Consultant) to join our team to collaborate with our clients' controllers and accountants to manage the progress of their business accounting maintenance and month-end close plans for accuracy and efficiency. This position is fully on-site.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Manage and maintain the general ledger- Interface with business owners to convey the measurable health of their business
- Responsible for completion of monthly and quarterly tasks and compliance items
- Review weekly/monthly/quarterly financial data to gain insight and help for business owners
- Meet with business owners on Business reporting and help work through decision making
- Adhere to a month-end and/or quarter-end reporting schedule in compliance with company policies and procedures
- Complete other duties at the discretion of management

QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting or financial review/analysis
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related major
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and ability to read financial statements
- Strong GAAP knowledge required, CPA a plus
- Fluent in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks experience required – QuickBooks certification a plus
- Proficient with the latest technology; can quickly learn and manage multiple software platforms
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38.00 - $48.00 per hour
