Primary Purpose: Oversee the SEIT supervisor and ensure policies and schedules are reviewed with SEIT
providers; supporting the IEP implementation, delivery, coordination, supervision and growth of the
agency wide SEIT program and manage the SEIT supervisory administrative staff to ensure compliance of
program requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
● Review with the SEIT’s their concerns regarding children when applicable and to collaborate on
appropriate methods of support
● Review and compare collaboration notes between SEIT’s and teachers, parents, and related
service providers and provided feedback
● Changes in IEP meetings as needed
● Visit SEITs during sessions and provide feedback and support
● Read and review IEP’s submitted to ensure that it is age appropriate and relevant
● Aid in assigning children to appropriate SEITs
● Aid in implementing interim plans for children already receiving services until they receive
additional services
● Review with the SEIT’s their concerns regarding children when applicable and to collaborate on appropriate methods of support
● Review and approve collaboration notes between SEIT’s and teachers, parents, and related service providers ● Give support on IEP mandates office staff ● Attend Annual Meetings ● Reviewing policies with SEIT ● Review SEIT responsibilities with the SEIT’s ● Review Session Notes ● Review SEIT reports including and not limited to Progress Reports and end of year/annual, T5 ● Visit SEIT’s during sessions and provide feedback
Qualification, Skills and Knowledge Requirements
MUST HAVE A SBL OR SAS CERTIFICATION
● Masters in related field and appropriate Certifications ● At least five years of combined instructional, teacher supervision or related school administrative experience. ● Ability to work and communicate effectively with a diverse background and cultural population ● Ability to manage cases without constant or direct supervision ● A commitment to the mission and programs of AMC ● Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills ● Ability to have good working relationship with supervisors, staff, parents and outside personnel ● Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks ● Ability to work flexible hours in the evening to accommodate families ● CPR and Child Abuse trainings required and recertified as needed ● Must be cleared be PETS ● Must Pass Fingerprinting with the DOI ● Physical and PPD clearance required
