Accord Power is seeking highly motivated and technically driven individuals to join our solar development project management team. The Project manager will work alongside our senior team to assist with our residential pipeline. Project Managers should demonstrate a strong self-starter attitude and acute attention to detail.
The Project Manager will assist in the execution of residential and commercial solar projects through NJ and NY. This position requires strong management and multitasking skills, communication skills, and initiative. The position requires a heavy load of technology-based application and computer software. This is an entry level position based in our Flushing, NY office.
Responsibilities:
Data Intake:
- Maintain data in CRM
- Compile customer documents after contract signing.
Customer Communication:
- Conduct welcome and closing calls.
- Manage service work, including ticket creation, tracking, scheduling, and customer communication.
Project Management:
- Handle change orders.
- Coordinate ACP5 inspections.
- Manage DOB Now registration accounts.
- Submit DOB permit applications
- Coordinate with utility providers
- Process and manage state incentive applications.
- Schedule installations and service work
- Procure materials for new installations
- Perform QA reviews of installed systems and repairs
- Manage inventory and ensure stock of all supplies
- Schedule and coordinate inspections.
- Manage PTO (Permission to Operate) procedures.
- Oversee NYSERDA closeout procedures.
- Manage DOB closeout procedures.
Knowledge & Skills
- Possess a self-starter attitude and desire to learn more about solar industry
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of personal responsibility and ownership of work products.
- High degree of effectiveness working in a collaborative and open culture of cross-functional teams.
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of the solar industry is a plus, but not required

- Prioritize tasks and juggle competing deadlines effectively.
- Understand of all aspects of the project, including procurement, engineering, technical competence, and schedule to achieve project success.
- Coordinate and handle, under pressure, multiple tasks with a high degree of independence and professional judgment to meet or beat project key performance indicators.
- Demonstrate ability to read, interpret, and manage construction documents, specifications, bids, and recommend changes or additions.
- Travel required: ~50%
Experience & Education
- 2-year technical degree minimum – Engineering, Project Administration, Project Management, Construction Management, Environmental Science etc.
- 4-year degree preferred, but not required
