Job Description:
As a Primary Therapist at Destination Hope, you will play a critical role in our clients' journey to recovery. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive clinical services to clients on your caseload, including individual therapy sessions, primary group sessions, treatment planning, transfer documentation, crisis intervention, family contacts, and assessments. We are looking for a therapist with excellent interpersonal skills who can collaborate effectively with peers, supervisors, and support staff. The Primary Therapist will work under the direct supervision of the Clinical Director and be an integral part of our interdisciplinary treatment team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive clinical services to clients, including individual therapy sessions.
- Lead primary group therapy sessions.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that support each client's recovery journey.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with Joint Commission and Department of Children and Families standards.
- Conduct assessments to determine clients' needs and progress.
- Provide crisis intervention as needed.
- Collaborate closely with peers, supervisors, and support staff to ensure effective client care.
- Maintain a positive and client-centered approach to care.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in a Mental Health/Substance Use related field.
- Experience working with the behavioral health population.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Commitment to adhering to clinical and ethical standards.
