GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK PERFORMED
The Manufacturing: Material Prep & Packaging Associate is responsible for producing high quality works in progress and finished product to meet the expectations of its internal and the company's external customers. The company currently is seeking to fill vacanies in our finishing and foaming departments; however, candidates will be crossed trained in various roles.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pull inventoried parts and stage them for packaging.
- Prepare components for paint and dye operations, including but not limited to removing packaging, cleaning parts, sanding/scuffing/smoothing pieces, and organizing and staging pieces by work order and due date.
- Manage multiple work orders and be able to prioritize tasks.
- Prepare sub-assemblies for finishing, to include using adhesives to bond components, assembling hardware and retainers onto plastic substrates, sanding/smoothing/shaping sub-assemblies with hand-operated and pneumatic sanding tools, and drilling holes with electric and pneumatic drills.
- Package raw materials and finished goods for inventory.
- Other Duties as assigned
SKILLS & EDUCATION:
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Good communication skills (written, verbal, listening)
- Detail oriented
- Knowledge of woodworking or autobody finishing and shaping perferred
- Organizational skills required to ensure files are appropriately maintained and good record keeping preactices are demonstrated
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The Manufacturing: Material Prep & Packaging Associate must be able to stand 90% of each workday, and is subject to bending, squatting, pushing, lifting heavy objects, crawling and working in an otherwise awkward positions. Ability to list up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & HAZARDS:
Works in a well-lighted environment, but is subject to occasional high decibel sounds associated with production and non-toxic fumes also associated with production. The duties of this position are present working with tools, machinery, and other production items that have very sharp edges, and are under very high levels of pressure, or are extremely hot.

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
