The Team You’ll Work With
The Mayor’s Office of Communications leads the effort to inform, update, and engage New Yorkers
about Mayor Eric Adams commitments to getting stuff done for all New Yorkers.
The Problems You’ll Solve
[The Deputy Communications Director is a key member of the larger Mayor’s Office of
Communications, responsible for communicating the Administration’s vision, mission, and policies to
New Yorkers and a broader online audience. S/he crafts strategic online communications plans, and is
charged with implementing approved vision. The Communications Advisor reports to the Director of
Communications.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Manage strategic communications for the Deputy Mayor’s portfolio of agencies and issue areas
and serve as the event lead for Mayoral announcements.
- Manage strategic communications for the Deputy Mayor’s portfolio of agencies and issue areas.

- Prepare agencies for hearings.
- Align weekly agency calendars.
